Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens
The Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens are a must visit for both tourists and locals. Spread over 31 hectares, these magnificent gardens offer something for people of all ages. Take a wander along the Mangroves to Mountains Walk, and discover amazing native species in the Display Garden. Smell and touch flowers and plants in the unique Sensory Garden, admire the stunning blooms in the Rose Garden, or explore the native Butterfly Garden. The lakefront paths are perfect for a relaxing stroll or family barbecue. There’s also a playground for the kids, and plenty of spots for a picnic. Book a guided walk, or take part in one of the Gardens’ many regular events, including tai chi, boxing, belly dancing, children’s activities, and garden maintenance days. Located only 10 minutes drive from central Surfers Paradise, the Gardens are open from dawn to dusk each day, all year round. There is parking on site, and entry is free.
